Do you clean the totes?
Yes, we clean and sanitize every tote after every rental.
Do I need to be home for tote delivery & pick-up?
Yes, in most cases someone over the age of 18 needs to be present to sign for/accept the delivery. If for some reason you are unable to be present, let us know in advance and we may be able to work out a special delivery if there is a safe space to leave the boxes and dollies.
What if I do not want one of the pre-built packages?
Send us as message outlining your needs and we will see what we can work out for you!
What if I live outside your service area(s)?
Unfortunately, we won't be able to ensure timely service if we go outside our service area. Be sure to check back occasionally though, as we grow, so will our coverage.
Do you provide moving services?
We do not provide moving services, such as packing or loading, but we happily suggest AB Moving or Evolution Moving.
Can I keep the totes longer than I originally ordered?
Absolutely! Let us know before the pick-up date that you need to extend the rental window and we will make it happen. You will simply be charged a set rate for every week that you keep the boxes beyond what you've already paid for.
Do you deliver inside my home?
No, we are a door to door delivery service. We will drop off the totes at the nearest accessible point outside your home or apartment. Typically, this means in your garage, driveway, or at the door. We don't carry items inside your home or apartment.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up until 48 hours before rental time-frame. If you need to cancel with less than 48 hours notice, there will be a $50 convenience fee.
What if a tote gets lost?
If a tote is lost or damaged, you will be the charged retail value of the tote. The large totes will cost more to replace than the regular totes, but typically around $30/tote.
Is renting re-usable totes really more cost-effective than buying cardboard?
Yes! When you factor in the total cost of buying boxes, packing tape, and tools, as well as the time it takes to assemble and break them down, renting from Rooted Move can cut your expenses by up to 30%. Plus, you don't have to worry about multiple trips to the store or cleanup & disposal!
